​Lampstand Review, March 2017

Yay for an encouraging gathering in March!  We are always encouraged by the folks who come willing to minister to the Lord and seek Him together.
Here are some highlights from our gathering:

• Ian Wilson led worship.  Yay!  We are so grateful for Ian sharing the songs of his heart with us and leading us into the Lord’s presence! 

 

• Matthew shared about THE WORD and the absolute importance of it in our lives; specifically the WORD BEING THE LANGUAGE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

 

• We read many Scriptures that highlight the importance of God’s word. 

 

• “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

 

• There is great practical application in our lives of knowing, valuing, and speaking the Word.  One example is in ministry to others: if we want to encourage someone, we can ask God to lead us to a Scripture that will speak life to that person. 

 

• In our response time, we opened it up for people to turn the Scriptures we had read earlier into prayers.  Praying the word is SO powerful!

 
We are looking forward to another gathering and the opportunity to learn and grow in the Lord and to minister to Him.  He IS worthy!
