Jesus instructs his followers in Matthew 28:19-20
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
This phrase "make disciples" also means to "teach" or "instruct" so we can look at it as "make students" of all nations.
This key aspect of life in Jesus is one we feel the Lord has emphasized in our lives. We are to instruct/teach others in the ways of God and about who He is. We also want to make others students of His word. Whether doing this in small groups or one on one, discipling our kids or those in the body of Christ, this is something we see ourselves doing during the course of our lives. Not only do we want to "make disciples," but we want to be those who embody being "students of Christ," learning from His Holy Spirit and the Word as well as from other Bible-based teachers and preachers.
