Recently some friends have said to us, " I thought you were fully funded in the ministry God has called you to." Although God has been fully faithful to provide for needs we have as a family, we are not fully funded for ministry purposes. We have about 30 % of our budget raised in monthly support for ministry as intercessory (prayer) missionaries with TRIHOP (the Tri-Cites House of Prayer). This makes ministry assignments limited in some ways for us, specifically in regard to the amount of time we can allocate to ministry. To provide for the rest of the Wine Family needs, we have had other sources for income that have helped in our family budget. Matthew works at a design store in Jonesborough, does freelance wedding or event decorating projects, and works other odds and ends jobs. Julie also works part-time teaching English online. These various sources are also God's provision for our family. We recognize these opportunities are given by Him just as much as money that is donated specifically for ministry purposes.
Our dream in to be fully funded in the prayer and discipleship ministry that the Lord has called us to. We have much more we could be a part of in that ministry arena, but honestly we are limited in time and resources. We try to follow the Lord's leading to not to commit to assignments we are not able to follow through with.
With all this in mind, WE WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTNER WITH US!
2 IMPORTANT WAYS YOU CAN PARTNER WITH US
1. Prayer- We understand that the Lord is our source of all things. We need prayer warriors to partner with us to ask the Lord to raise up financial support for our family. Our need of prayer is not limited to finances. We also need covering in prayer for the Lord's leadership in our lives and ministry, His protection for our family, managing our time with many different areas we have to focus on, growing in our marriage, raising up godly kids who would be strong lamps in this dark time we live in, etc.
2. We need financial support. Please consider becoming a monthly partner or giving a one time gift. We value every gift that is given and appreciate every person who chooses to give to support us. It is really the Lord who orchestrates our provision, moving on hearts to give.

OUR PHILOSOPHY ON "RAISING FINANCIAL SUPPORT"
Since we began raising financial support in 2011, we have felt the Lord has led us not to make personal appeals to partner with us. This would mean sitting down with people and directly asking them if they want to partner with us financially. Yet, we have always felt like it is important to give people an opportunity to give to support us. This started when Julie and I were able to take several short term mission trips before we got married and in our early years of marriage. People were thankful to know about the opportunities they could give to that would support us but without feeling pressured to give each time. This is the philosophy we have carried into raising support as intercessory (prayer) missionaries. We want to give a general appeal for those who may be interested in giving support. We NEVER want to make anyone feel pressured into giving to our ministry. We also realize people want to give in other ways besides financially. Again, each gift that comes our way is a huge blessing We have had bags of food and clothing given to us, free babysitting, helpful hands lent to us, and many other blessings. We even had a new stove given us when we needed it!
